The Educator/Industry Summits are
designed to build a community of interest in fluid power among
industry leaders, educators and their students. The Summits
are an important forum for sharing ideas about industry-based
research and for planning successful partnerships.
The Summits are usually held before or
in conjunction with an NFPA Member Conference. They feature
keynote presenters, representing a wide range of perspectives
and backgrounds, who lead an examination of the larger issues
and directions of technology research, followed by roundtable
discussions, which give participants the opportunity to share
ideas and examine new directions for future projects. Summits
feature poster sessions, providing
informative sessions where faculty members and students can
showcase research projects and answer questions from
participants.
Four Summits have been held since 2001,
with each consecutive Summit increasing in attendance and
interest.
