Standards Committees

NFPA coordinates standardization work in the following areas of activity. Participants are welcome to work on as many committees, or as few, as they wish, on any and all levels.

These committees typically meet face-to-face two or three times each year, but they also conduct business via conference calls and on-line meetings. Committee members view and download documents and reply to ballots via the Internet by logging onto the on-line committee forums. The forums also provide everyone with general information about all of the committees; click here to view what is available.

Membership on NFPA technical committees is open to representatives from NFPA member companies and invited participants from outside the NFPA membership (for examples, users of fluid power). Membership on the ANSI canvass list is open to anyone with an interest in Fluid Power. Membership in U.S. TAG subgroups is open to anyone who indicates a direct and material interest in fluid power.
