The NFPA Fluid Power Workforce Summit and Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power Annual Meeting was a smashing success. Attendance included 57 industry, 71 students and 43 educators from NFPA and CCEFP members and non-members all over the Midwest. A variety of activities such as a speed meeting and resume exchange, student poster session, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign research labs tours brought students and industry together during this event. Student, educator and industry speakers highlighted fluid power workforce development, research, education and outreach programs. Feedback from attendees illuminated the need for industry to connect with the workforce of tomorrow.
