The ISO technical committee for fluid power systems, ISO/TC 131, held meetings of its contamination control sub-committee 6 and its working groups in Xinxiang, Henan Province, China in May 2012.  More than 30 experts from six countries attended, and it was the first time any ISO/TC 131 group had met in China.

The meetings were organized by the Standards Administration of China (SAC) and CFPC, which performs filter testing and hydraulic fluid analysis and is located in Xinxiang (Xinxiang is about 400 miles south-southwest of Beijing, near the Yellow River).  CFPC also took the opportunity to organize a technical conference, which took place after the meetings ended, and four of the experts attending made presentations: Leonard Bensch of Pall Aeropower; Barry Verdegan of Cummins Filtration; Mike Day of Pall Europe and Christophe Peuchot of IFTS.  Nearly 200 people from all over China attended the conference, which also featured presentations from Chinese experts.

The excellent organization and facilities provided by the hosts allowed ISO/TC 131/SC 6 and its working groups to make good progress on a number of projects.
