Dr. Vince Bertram, Project Lead The Way (PLTW) President and Chief Executive Officer, delivered the keynote commencement address at the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s (MSOE) Spring Commencement ceremonies.  MSOE became PLTW’s Affiliate University in Wisconsin in 2004. According to PLTW, students at MSOE who had previous PLTW experience on their application are enjoying a 100% placement rate and a 2.4 percent higher starting salary than the whole graduating class.

has partnered with Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) in New York to sponsor its Advanced Manufacturing Machinist Training Program. G.W. Lisk and FLCC developed the program to address the need for workers among the advanced manufacturers in the region. By the time they graduated this spring, all 15 members of the second class already had jobs or job offers.

announced the opening of a Nashville, Tennessee facility. The new metals service center, which officially opened for business on May 6, is conveniently located in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, near Interstate 40 and just 25 miles east of downtown Nashville.

The Sun Hydraulics Corporation Board of Directors has appointed Philippe Lemaitre, a director for the past 6 years, as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Lemaitre succeeds Dr. Ferdinand G. Megerlin, who had served as Chairman from 2007 until his recent retirement.
