FORCE America shared that they are breaking ground on a new manufacturing facility in Alexandria, MN. This new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant will provide an additional 64,000 sq. ft. to manufacture integrated hydraulic circuits and custom manifolds designed for the on and off highway mobile markets.

Gates Corporation  and Sauer-Danfoss are the NFPA Education and Technology Foundation’s latest Legacy Builders.  The “Legacy Builder” recognition is awarded to member companies that have surpassed $25,000 in cumulative donations to the Foundation.  These member companies are able to use the “Legacy Builder" logo on company letterhead and web sites.

president, Ernie Lynch, is one of four finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 under the Cleantech and Manufacturing category in Ontario. The Canadian winners will be announced at a gala in October.

Parker Hannifin Corp. reported a profit for the fourth quarter that declined 10 percent from last year, despite sales growth, reflecting higher costs.

RHM Fluid Power has been acquired by Flodraulic Group, Inc. located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Along with Flodraulic Canada in Toronto….RHM is joining a team comprising of 22 stocking locations and 450 employees across the United States and Canada.

Sun Hydraulics Corporation announced the opening of a new facility in Sarasota, Florida to grow both its cartridge and integrated package solutions business. Sun will move operations currently located in a Lenexa, Kansas facility to the new factory in Sarasota. Sun's current manifold production in Sarasota will also be relocated to the new factory over the same time period. The new facility covers 75,000 square feet overall, with 58,000 square feet dedicated to manufacturing and operations.

Sun Hydraulics Corporation also reported second quarter sales of $55.8 million, with $0.45 earnings per share.
