NFPA Education and Technology Foundation Awards Two Gifts for Spring 2011 Projects

The NFPA Foundation Board of Directors would like to congratulate Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Marquette University for being awarded the spring 2011 semester gifts. Each gift will help strengthen ties between individual researchers and industry, stimulate interest in fluid power on their campuses and help the Foundation in its efforts to attract some of the best and brightest students to our field. The Foundation has awarded 19 gifts and 1 grant to 15 schools to date. These awards align with our strategy to bring fluid power to as many students as possible through our growing list of educator members. Following are brief overviews of each project: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Introduction of Pneumatics into 2.007 - Design and Manufacturing By Professor Daniel Frey This gift will allow us to purchase pneumatic components for use in an undergraduate design course.
