Gain Access to the Brightest Engineering Students by Participating in Capstone Design Programs

Help educate future engineers by sponsoring a fluid power-related capstone design project at your local engineering school. Just as NFPA brought you the Fluid Power Challenge to connect our industry to middle school students, and developed a partnership with Project Lead the Way to reach high school students, capstone design experiences can play an important role in reaching Bachelor-level engineers and involving them in the fluid power industry. All accredited undergraduate engineering degree programs have a capstone design course where fourth-year students work in teams for one or two semesters on a practical design project. NFPA's educator members are looking for industry partners to provide real-world engineering design problems in fluid power. The students will team with businesses through a structured design process to find a solution to the problem through requirement, ideation, selection, analysis, prototyping, and validation.
