NFPA members have two virtual, yet powerful, ways to make an immediate impact on students pursuing fluid power careers: reviewing scholarship applications and serving as judges for the Vehicle Challenge Midway Reviews.
Help evaluate applications for the Fluid Power Scholarship Program between April - June 2026. This fully virtual opportunity takes about 6–10 hours and directly supports students preparing for fluid power careers. In 2025, volunteers reviewed 241 applications, helping identify outstanding future talent.

Industry judges are needed for the December - January Midway Reviews: 45-minute virtual design presentations where university teams share their early vehicle concepts and fluid power systems. Judges may join as many sessions as they like and will provide guidance that shapes the students’ next design phase.
While this opportunity is normally reserved for Pascal Society donors, all NFPA members are currently invited to participate in the Midway Reviews to learn more about the program and see firsthand one of the many benefits of becoming a Pascal Society donor.
