Member Companies Engage Students at University of Houston Event

Written by Kyla Olson | Feb 11, '26

NFPA recently hosted an industry connection event at the University of Houston’s Sugar Land campus to celebrate UH’s recent designation as a Power Partner University. The event reinforced NFPA’s commitment to connecting member companies with emerging talent and strengthening industry–academic partnerships.

On February 3rd, NFPA members Hydraquip, Danfoss Power Solutions, and Camozzi Automation connected with more than 150 students from the University of Houston and four local high schools. Through panel discussions and company presentations, members shared how their organizations contribute to the fluid power industry and highlighted career opportunities available to students.

Participating members appreciated the opportunity to engage directly with motivated students and build relationships with UH and local schools. Members were also impressed by the advanced laboratory and research facilities at UH’s Sugar Land campus, which support hands-on fluid power education.

Thank you to our participating member companies for their continued involvement. Learn more about NFPA’s Power Partner University program and our upcoming event with Kennesaw State University (GA) on our website.
