New Webpages Simplify Access to NFPA Workforce Development Resources

Written by Elexus Comyne | Oct 13, '26

NFPA has recently updated how we organize and share workforce development opportunities with our members. Two centralized webpages now serve as the home for activities, resources, and upcoming engagement opportunities through our Power Partner University and Fast Track to Fluid Power programs.

These pages are designed to make it easier for NFPA members to understand where they can get involved, how they can participate, and who they can connect with.

Engage with Power Partner Universities

NFPA has 13 Power Partner Universities across the country, connecting member companies with university students pursuing careers relevant to the fluid power industry.

Members can engage with Power Partners by:

  • Speaking to students about fluid power careers, salaries, job outlooks, and educational pathways.
  • Connecting with Fluid Power Clubs through mentorship, technical presentations, and student projects.
  • Supporting Vehicle Challenge teams as students design and build fluid-powered vehicles.
  • Participating in exclusive Outreach & Recruitment Events that provide a more focused alternative to traditional career fairs.

Upcoming Outreach & Recruitment Events are being planned at the University of Cincinnati, Iowa State University, and North Carolina A&T State University.

Connect with Students Through Fast Track Hubs

NFPA's Fast Track to Fluid Power program connects industry with students at two-year colleges, high schools, and middle schools through hands-on fluid power education and industry engagement.

With Fast Track hubs established in seven states, NFPA members have opportunities to build relationships with students before they enter the workforce while increasing awareness of their companies and career opportunities.

Members can participate through:

  • Classroom presentations
  • Facility tours
  • Outreach and recruitment events
  • Hands-on design/build activities
  • Internships and apprenticeships

Find Your Next Opportunity to Engage

Whether you're looking to recruit future employees, increase your company's visibility with students, provide technical expertise, or support the next generation of fluid power professionals, these new pages provide one place to find current opportunities and resources.

Bookmark both pages and check back regularly as new events and opportunities are added throughout the year. Contact workforce@nfpa.com with any questions.
