NFPA Executive Leadership Program Kicks Off Fourth Cohort

Written by Elexus Comyne | Mar 5, '26

The NFPA Executive Leadership Program is an in-depth and interactive program that helps emerging leaders in the fluid power industry develop their network and advance their management and leadership skills through tailored content. Its sessions are presented in collaboration with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with Kellogg faculty helping to curate interactions among program participations.

A fourth cohort of scholars are now engaging in this program, with their first in-person session just held in conjunction with the February 2026 NFPA Annual Conference in New Orleans. This session’s focus was on Executive Foundations/Culture, Values and Virtues, with each participant taken through a detailed leadership competency assessment, paired with a learning partner, and set on a personalized development course that will carry them through the remaining in-person sessions:

May 2026 – The Strategic Cascade/Frictionless Implementation

Aug 2026 – Financial Acumen/Strategic Negotiation

Nov 2026 – Presenting with Presence/Change Management

Plans are already underway for a fifth cohort – scheduled to begin in July 2027. Now is the time to reserve a spot for your up-and-coming professional in this unique and impactful program. Contact Eric Lanke at elanke@nfpa.com for more information.
