The launch of NFPA’s Excel-based Stats Toolkit in 2002 was a huge step forward for NFPA’s market information services by creating a tool that enabled members to more effectively use NFPA statistical resources while building interest in participating in the Confidential Shipments Statistics (CSS) program.
Over the years, the Toolkit has introduced more features and more data sources and remains highly valued by both casual and power users. However, updates and new versions of Microsoft Excel started to disrupt the Toolkit’s ease of use and impacted user experience, leading NFPA to investigate Toolkit platform options beyond Microsoft Excel. After an extensive investigation of platform options, and with the help of Northwoods Software, NFPA’s Cloud-based Stats Toolkit was created.
This Stats Toolkit is NFPA’s next generation of statistical tools and is available exclusively to NFPA members. This cloud-based statistical toolkit replaces our popular Excel-based Stats Toolkit and retains almost all of the core functionality. The new platform and interface increases data applications and improves user experience.
NFPA’s Stats Toolkit expands our members’ economic view of their company and our industry by combining NFPA data sources with the popular analytical tools. An intuitive interface, easy setup process, and ability to save analysis configuration allows users to benchmark company performance, automate time-consuming calculations, conduct industry analysis, identify leading indicators and create custom forecasts with simple point-and-click menu options while generating graphs and hard data that can be easily transferred to other reports, presentations, and files.
Important Reminder: NFPA membership and participation in NFPA’s Confidential Shipment Statistics (CSS) program are required to be eligible to access the Stats Toolkit Pro. Limited access to the toolkit is available to those NFPA members not eligible to participate in the CSS program.
