Has Your Company Hired from NFPA’s Workforce Programs?

Since last July, has your company brought on someone in a full-time, co-op or internship position who attended an NFPA Fast Track College or a Power Partner University? Your answer will help us understand more about students entering the fluid power industry within NFPA’s Workforce Programs.

The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) manages two workforce development pathway programs. First, the Fast Track program, partners local technical colleges with industry professionals and high school teachers. These networks create awareness of and interest in fluid power and introduce students to a path that leads to careers in fluid power at NFPA member companies. Second, the Power Partner program, increases the amount of fluid power being taught in relevant university degree programs and enhances student-to-industry connections.

These programs exist at:
Fast Track Colleges

  • Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, OH
  • Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park, MN
  • Houston Community College in Houston, TX
  • Macomb Community College in Warren, MI
  • Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA
  • Triton College in River Grove, IL
  • Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee, WI

Power Partner Universities

  • California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA
  • Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH
  • Iowa State University in Ames, IA
  • Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA
  • Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, WI
  • Murray State University in Murray, KY
  • Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL
  • North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC
  • Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN
  • State University of New York Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY
  • Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN
  • University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH
  • University of Houston in Houston, TX

How Can You and Your Company Get Involved?
Consider joining us this year at one of our Student Recruitment events, a Fluid Power Day, a Regional Meeting, or an Action Challenge event. You can find information on all the events we have scheduled on our Workforce Events page. It's a good page to bookmark, and check back often as new events are added throughout the year. If you aren't able to attend one of the events, we would be happy to connect you with our Fast Track or Power Partner schools so you can talk to one of their classes, a Fluid Power Club, or a Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge Team. Reach out to the Workforce Team to schedule a speaking opportunity.

Additionally, another way to get your company’s name in front of potential hires is by adding your company profile to the NFPA Foundation website. We direct students in all our programs to this site to learn more about our member companies.

NFPA gathers student resumes from our partner schools and distributes them to our member companies each month. This program is exclusive to members of our Pascal Society. If your company is a Pascal member and you would like to receive these resumes, please provide the name and email address of the designated contact person at your company to us at workforce@nfpa.com. If you are not yet a Pascal member, you can find information on how to join here.

Please reach out to us with questions. Thank you for your time, our team appreciates it!
