Report on Pace of Technology Adoption Survey

A key element of the NFPA Technology Roadmap for mobile equipment is the growing trend toward electrification. To better understand how this shift is taking place, the NFPA Mobile Technology Task Force designed and conducted a survey of members and OEMs over the past year. The survey focused on the pace of electrification across construction machinery, looking specifically at drivetrain, propulsion, and work function actuation.
The results of this Pace of Technology Adoption Survey will be presented during an upcoming webinar on September 15. Pete Alles will lead the survey portion of the discussion, highlighting key findings and what they mean for the future of mobile construction machinery.
In addition to presenting survey insights, the session will explore potential efforts to extend similar studies to other types of mobile machinery, further informing NFPA members on where technology adoption is heading.
