The 2024–25 academic year has seen significant growth in fluid power education, introducing over 2,400 students to the industry. This marks a major increase from the 1,700 students who participated during the 2023–24 NFPA fiscal year.
This achievement is largely thanks to NFPA’s 2024–25 Fluid Power Grant program, which supported 46 schools and community organizations; 25 new and 21 returning recipients.
Funded by member contributions and the annual NFPA Education and Technology Foundation Golf Fundraiser held during the Industry & Economic Outlook Conference (IEOC), the grant enables institutions to purchase classroom materials, pneumatic components for robotics teams, and transportation for student tours and Fluid Power Action Challenge events.
As of May 5, NFPA awarded over $20,000 in grants this fiscal year. These efforts wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of NFPA members. Thank you to all who contributed time, resources, and expertise, (whether as event hosts, mentors, speakers, or volunteers) for Workforce programs this year.
