A Few Key Points from the Latest Forecast Release:
- Overall: “The global headline GDP growth figure across the countries covered in this report holds at 2.8% for 2027, a slight downgrade from our previous update.”
- United States: "Hydraulics end-use demand is expected to grow 3.3% in 2027, supported by a 3.5% growth in construction as demand for data centres expands following the AI buildout, and increases in capital expenditure encourage other construction. Other special purpose machinery output is also elevated in line with the increased investment.”

China: “Hydraulic end-use demand is set to expand by 4.8% in 2027 as we see growth of 8.7% in mining, quarrying, and construction equipment which is lowered from this year as we expect a slowdown in extraction activity reducing demand for mining and quarrying equipment.”
- United Kingdom: “Pneumatics end-use demand is expected to make an expansion of 0.6% in 2027, driven by the increase in UK motor vehicles and parts production since new EV capacity and launches will lift the sector.”
