2026 Fluid Power Scholarship Application Now Available

The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation is now accepting applications for $2,500 Fluid Power Scholarships available to students pursuing fluid power education. This scholarship is partially funded by generous donations to the Tom Wanke Legacy Fund. Multiple scholarships are available for the 2026-27 academic year. The deadline for applying is March 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM CDT.

A minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, 500-word essay, and one letter of recommendation are required from each applicant. The Foundation’s goal is to help graduating high school seniors, and individuals enrolled at technical colleges, community colleges, and universities pursue their interests in fluid power.

Please share this information with your educator contacts and encourage students to apply.

Volunteer Judges Needed for NFPA’s Scholarship Programs

NFPA Members are invited to help review applications for the Fluid Power Scholarship program. Reviewers can expect to review applications in April-June 2026. This opportunity is completely virtual.

NFPA’s scholarship programs rely on volunteer judges from the fluid power industry. The total time commitment is approximately 6-10 hours. In 2025, volunteer judges reviewed 241 eligible applications from students interested in fluid power education and careers.

The accomplishments of the 2025 scholarship awardees are currently being highlighted in the NFPA News and on our LinkedIn account. Many of these students will be seeking internships or full-time jobs in the future, so please keep them in mind for your hiring needs. For questions, interest in volunteering as a judge, or more information about NFPA Scholarships, contact hnemeth@nfpa.com
